Copyright Policy & Reporting

📅 Effective Date: June 26, 2026 🏢 Parsafy AI Inc. · Monrovia, CA

Parsafy AI Inc. respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users of our platform to do the same. We comply fully with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and have designated a Copyright Agent to receive and process infringement notices.

This page explains how to report copyright infringement on Parsafy, how we process those reports, and what options are available to users whose content has been removed. It also explains our repeat-infringer policy, which may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

Please note: this page covers copyright complaints only. If your concern relates to trademark infringement, impersonation, or another type of intellectual property issue, different policies and contact channels apply. For issues involving our platform's AI-generated content tools, please also refer to our Music on Parsafy AI guidelines and Terms of Service.

📋 Overview & DMCA Compliance

Parsafy AI Inc. adheres to the provisions set forth under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). Section 512 of the DMCA establishes the statutory framework for formally lodging a copyright infringement complaint and outlines the procedure for affected parties to challenge content removal by submitting a counter-notice.

Parsafy is committed to addressing reports of alleged copyright infringement promptly and in good faith. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Unauthorized use of copyrighted images or videos in user profiles, headers, or content uploaded via our media hosting services.
  • Posts or content containing links to materials that allegedly infringe copyright.
  • AI-generated content that incorporates or reproduces copyrighted works without authorization.
  • Content created using Parsafy's creator tools (including ViraFrame and Guilda) that infringes third-party copyrights.
Important: Not every unauthorized use of copyrighted material constitutes infringement. Certain uses may qualify as fair use, which does not require authorization from the rights holder. Please review our Fair Use Policy before filing a complaint.

If your concern relates to the use of your brand name or trademark, please refer to Parsafy's trademark policy. Issues related to parody, commentary, or fan accounts typically fall outside the scope of copyright complaints and should be evaluated under our fair use guidelines.

🤔 Before You File a Copyright Complaint

Are You the Copyright Holder?

Only the copyright owner or a person expressly authorized to act on their behalf has standing to submit a DMCA notice. Determining copyright ownership can be complex. If you are uncertain about your rights, Parsafy recommends seeking advice from a qualified attorney. We are unable to provide legal counsel. External resources include copyright.gov and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Note: generally, the creator of a work (for example, the photographer of a photograph) is considered the copyright holder — not the subject of the work. If you are the subject of a photograph or video, that alone does not give you copyright ownership.

Consider Fair Use First

Before submitting a complaint, carefully consider whether the use of your work could qualify as fair use. Fair use is a legal doctrine that permits limited use of copyrighted material without authorization in certain circumstances, such as commentary, criticism, education, news reporting, or parody. Filing a DMCA complaint against content that constitutes fair use may expose you to legal liability.

Try to Resolve Directly First

Where possible, we recommend first attempting to resolve the matter directly with the user. You may reach out to the user via their public profile, by responding to their post, or by sending a direct message through the platform. A direct request to remove or modify the content often resolves matters more quickly than a formal DMCA process.

Legal Liability for False Claims

⚠️ Warning: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) of the DMCA, you may be held liable for damages — including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by Parsafy or by the accused user — if you knowingly submit a materially false copyright complaint. If there is any doubt about whether the material is actually infringing, consult an attorney before filing.

📝 Required Information for a Copyright Complaint

To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your copyright complaint must include all of the following. Incomplete notices will not be processed.

  1. Signature
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf. Typing your full legal name is acceptable as an electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the Infringed Work
A clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single complaint, a representative list is acceptable. Include a link to the original work or a detailed description sufficient to identify it.
  3. Specific Location of the Infringing Material
A direct link to the specific post, image, video, profile element, or other content you believe is infringing. A link to a general profile page is not sufficient. If the infringement relates to a header image, avatar, or other non-post element, describe it explicitly.
  4. Your Contact Information
Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. This information will be shared with the accused user if content is removed. If you prefer not to share your personal contact information directly, you may use an authorized agent to file on your behalf.
  5. Statement of Good Faith Belief
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Statement of Accuracy Under Penalty of Perjury
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

📨 How to File a Copyright Complaint

To file a copyright complaint with Parsafy AI Inc., submit your complete DMCA notice — including all required information listed above — to our designated Copyright Agent:

Parsafy AI Inc. — Attn: Copyright Agent
710 South Myrtle Ave, Monrovia, CA 91016
Email: [email protected]

Please use the copyright email address exclusively for DMCA notices. All other correspondence sent to this address will be disregarded. For general legal inquiries, contact [email protected].

Using an Agent

If you are concerned about your personal contact information being disclosed to the accused user, you may appoint a legal agent or representative to file the complaint on your behalf. Your agent must provide their own valid contact information and must clearly identify you as the copyright owner they represent.

⚠️ Legal liability reminder: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), knowingly submitting a materially false DMCA notice may expose you to liability for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees — both Parsafy's and the affected user's. File only if you have a genuine, good-faith belief that infringement has occurred.

⚙️ How We Process Copyright Complaints

📥

Receipt & Confirmation

We process copyright complaints in the order they are received. Upon submission, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your complaint. If you do not receive a confirmation, we have not received your complaint — please resubmit. Filing duplicate complaints may delay processing.
🔍

Legal Review

Your complaint will be reviewed for accuracy, validity, and completeness. Incomplete or facially invalid notices will not be acted upon. We may contact you for additional information if needed.
⚖️

Fair Use Assessment

As part of our review, Parsafy considers whether the reported use may constitute fair use or another applicable exception to copyright. We reserve the right to decline to act on complaints where the reported use appears to qualify as fair use, in accordance with our Fair Use Policy.
🚫

Action on Valid Complaints

If your complaint meets all legal requirements and we determine action is appropriate, Parsafy will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We will notify the affected user and provide them with a complete copy of your notice, including your contact information (or your agent's contact information if you used one).
📬

Counter-Notice Period

The affected user will be informed of their right to file a counter-notice. If a valid counter-notice is received, we will notify you and, absent a court order, may reinstate the content after 10 business days.
Transparency: Parsafy may publish information about received DMCA notices in our Transparency Report, in accordance with our commitment to platform transparency. Personal contact information is not published.

📭 Your Content Was Removed — What Now?

If your content has been removed from Parsafy following a copyright complaint, access to that content has been restricted based on a DMCA notice we received. We will send you a notification to the email address associated with your Parsafy account, including a copy of the complaint and instructions for filing a counter-notice.

💡 Important: Please check the email address associated with your Parsafy account regularly. Removal notifications and counter-notice instructions are sent there.

Your options at this point are:

  • Accept the removal — if the material was infringing, no further action is needed.
  • Seek a retraction — contact the complainant directly to request that they retract their notice.
  • File a counter-notice — if you believe the content was removed in error or due to misidentification.
⚠️ Do not re-post removed content. Re-posting material that was removed in response to a copyright complaint may result in immediate permanent suspension of your Parsafy account. If you believe the removal was in error, file a counter-notice instead.
💡 Tip: Simply deleting other portions of the reported content from your account does not resolve the copyright complaint. The complaint must be formally addressed through the retraction or counter-notice process.

↩️ Seeking a Retraction from the Complainant

If you wish to resolve the matter directly with the person who filed the copyright complaint, you may use the contact information included in the complaint notice to reach out to them. Only the original complainant can issue a retraction — Parsafy cannot compel a retraction on your behalf.

To retract a DMCA notice, the original complainant must send a retraction notice to:

Email: [email protected]
Subject line: DMCA Retraction — [description of original notice]

The retraction notice must include:

  • Identification of the material that was disabled or removed.
  • A clear statement that the complainant wishes to retract their DMCA notice.
  • The complainant's signature (physical or electronic).

Upon receipt of a valid retraction, Parsafy will review the request and, where appropriate, restore the removed content. Please note that the decision to retract rests solely with the original complainant.

↔️ Filing a Counter-Notice

If you believe that your content was removed due to a mistake or misidentification — and you have a good faith belief that the material does not infringe the complainant's copyright — you may submit a formal counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

⚠️ A counter-notice is a serious legal document. By filing a counter-notice, you consent to the jurisdiction of a U.S. Federal Court and to having your personal contact information disclosed to the original complainant. The complainant may initiate legal action against you in response. Consult an attorney before proceeding if you have any uncertainty.

When to File a Counter-Notice

You should consider filing a counter-notice only if:

  • You have a genuine, good faith belief that the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification of the content as infringing.
  • You own the content, licensed it lawfully, or your use is protected by fair use or another copyright exception.
  • You are prepared to accept service of legal process from the original complainant in a U.S. Federal Court.

When Not to File a Counter-Notice

  • Do not file a counter-notice if the material was actually infringing.
  • Do not file a counter-notice as a delay tactic — doing so under false pretenses may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
  • If you are unsure, consult a qualified attorney before filing.

📋 Counter-Notice Requirements

To submit a counter-notice, reply to the removal notification email from Parsafy or send your counter-notice directly to [email protected]. Your counter-notice must include all of the following:

  1. Signature
A physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable).
  2. Your Contact Information
Your full name, mailing address (including country), telephone number, Parsafy username, and the email address associated with your Parsafy account.
  3. Identification of Removed Material
Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and its location on Parsafy before removal. You may reference the description provided in the original copyright notice sent to you.
  4. Statement Under Penalty of Perjury
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  5. Jurisdictional Consent Statement
One of the following statements, depending on your location:
If your address is in the United States:
"I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located, and I will accept service of process from the person who provided notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(1)(C) or an agent of such person."
If your address is outside the United States:
"I consent to any judicial district in which Parsafy AI Inc. may be found, and I will accept service of process from the person who provided notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(1)(C) or an agent of such person."

Submit your complete counter-notice to:

⏭️ After You Submit a Counter-Notice

📤

Parsafy Forwards Your Counter-Notice

Once we receive a valid counter-notice, we will promptly forward a copy to the original complainant. This includes all contact information you provided in your counter-notice.
⚖️

Complainant May Pursue Legal Action

The original complainant has the right to initiate legal proceedings against you if they maintain that your content infringed their copyright. Be prepared for this possibility before filing a counter-notice.
📅

10-Business-Day Waiting Period

Parsafy will wait a minimum of 10 business days after forwarding your counter-notice before considering reinstating the removed content. This gives the complainant time to seek a court order if they choose to do so.

Potential Reinstatement

If Parsafy does not receive notice within 10 business days that the complainant has filed for a court order to prevent reinstatement, we may restore or cease to disable access to the removed material. Reinstatement is at Parsafy's sole discretion and is not guaranteed.
Legal Advice: Parsafy cannot provide legal counsel. If you have questions about the counter-notice process or your rights under copyright law, please consult a qualified attorney.

🔁 Repeat Infringer Policy

⚠️ Account Suspension Risk

Repeat Infringement & Account Suspension

Parsafy maintains and enforces a repeat-infringer policy in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i) and our Terms of Service. If your Parsafy account receives multiple valid copyright complaints, or if there is evidence of a pattern of repeat infringement, Parsafy may suspend your account. Valid retractions and successful counter-notices are taken into account when assessing an account's infringement history.

Actions Leading to Permanent Suspension

The following activities may result in the permanent suspension of your Parsafy account:

  • Re-posting material that was previously removed in response to a copyright complaint.
  • Directing other users to access infringing content hosted on third-party websites.
  • Engaging in activity that predominantly consists of infringing the copyrighted material of others.
  • Filing fraudulent counter-notices or otherwise abusing the DMCA process in bad faith.

Appealing a Suspension

If your account is suspended under this policy, you may appeal the suspension by contacting:

Email: [email protected]
Subject line: Account Suspension Appeal — [your Parsafy username]

When submitting an appeal, provide a thorough explanation of your case, including any relevant evidence that the copyright complaints were invalid, retracted, or successfully counter-noticed. Parsafy will review each appeal on its merits, taking into account the account's full history. Filing an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement. The decision to reinstate an account is at Parsafy's sole discretion following a thorough review.

⚠️ Important: Copyright compliance is a condition of using Parsafy. Repeat or egregious infringement is grounds for permanent termination of your account and all associated content, with no obligation to provide a refund of any fees paid.
