Law Enforcement & the Parsafy Community

How Parsafy works with law enforcement while protecting user privacy

📅 Effective Date: June 26, 2026 🏢 Parsafy AI Inc. · Monrovia, CA

Parsafy AI is deeply committed to the safety and privacy of our community. We recognize the critical role that law enforcement plays in maintaining a safe online environment — and we are committed to cooperating fully with valid legal process in connection with criminal investigations involving our platform.

At the same time, our users' privacy is not a courtesy — it is a right we take seriously. Parsafy will not voluntarily disclose user data to governments or law enforcement absent valid legal process, except where an imminent threat to human life requires immediate action. We scrutinize every request for legal sufficiency before responding.

This page provides a public overview of how Parsafy works with law enforcement. Law enforcement officials seeking operational guidance, detailed data availability information, and submission instructions should refer to our full Law Enforcement Guide.

⚖️ Parsafy's Approach to Law Enforcement Requests

Parsafy is committed to assisting law enforcement in their legitimate investigative work while simultaneously upholding the privacy and rights of our users. These commitments are not in conflict — they are both essential to a trustworthy platform.

📜

Legal Process Required

Parsafy discloses user account records only in response to valid legal process that meets all applicable legal requirements. We do not voluntarily disclose user data to law enforcement without proper legal authority.

🔍

We Scrutinize Every Request

Every request we receive is reviewed for legal sufficiency and proportionality. We reserve the right to object to requests that are legally deficient, overbroad, or otherwise improper.

📬

We Notify Users

Our policy is to notify users when we receive legal process seeking disclosure of their records, giving them an opportunity to challenge the process — except where law or exceptional circumstances prohibit notification.

🚨

Emergencies Are Different

Where there is a credible, imminent threat to human life, Parsafy may disclose limited account records without formal legal process under 18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8). We also respond to emergency disclosure requests on a 24/7 basis.

👶

Child Safety Is a Priority

Reports of child sexual exploitation on Parsafy are treated as our highest priority. We report all confirmed CSAM to NCMEC as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and cooperate fully with related law enforcement investigations.

🌍

Global Cooperation

We work with U.S. and non-U.S. law enforcement agencies through the appropriate legal channels — including MLAT, CLOUD Act agreements, and letters rogatory — to support legitimate investigations worldwide.

🇺🇸 U.S. Legal Process

As a company operating under U.S. jurisdiction and headquartered in California, Parsafy requires all U.S. law enforcement and government agencies to adhere to U.S. legal standards when requesting disclosure of Parsafy account records.

The disclosure of Parsafy account records is primarily governed by the Stored Communications Act (18 U.S.C. § 2701 et seq.). This statute specifies that we can only release certain user account records in response to specific types of legal process — subpoenas, court orders under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(d), and search warrants — ensuring that any disclosure of information is lawful and justified.

📄

Subpoena

Sufficient for basic subscriber information including usernames, email addresses, phone numbers, and account creation data.

⚖️

§ 2703(d) Court Order

Required for communications metadata and non-communications metadata such as follower lists and device identifiers.

🔎

Search Warrant

Required for location data and content — including posts, highlights, and ViraFrame-generated content.

Tellefy messages: Tellefy, Parsafy's messaging feature, uses end-to-end encryption. The content of Tellefy messages cannot be decrypted by Parsafy and is not available in response to any legal process. Communications metadata (timing, frequency) may be available with a § 2703(d) order or search warrant.

For full details on each data category and the legal process required, see our Law Enforcement Guide.

🌍 Non-U.S. Legal Process

For law enforcement and governmental agencies outside the United States, requests for Parsafy account records typically involve international legal procedures, including the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT), a CLOUD Act bilateral agreement, or letters rogatory processes.

Parsafy acknowledges the importance of these requests and, as a courtesy, will review and respond to properly submitted preservation requests from non-U.S. agencies while the MLAT or letters rogatory process is being pursued.

In certain circumstances and consistent with U.S. law, Parsafy may provide limited account records to non-U.S. law enforcement agencies where the legal process is duly authorized in the requesting country and is limited to non-content information such as basic subscriber details and IP logs.

Non-U.S. law enforcement requests should be directed to [email protected] from an official government or law enforcement email domain. Requests from private email domains will not be processed.

🚨 Emergency Disclosure Requests

In line with 18 U.S.C. §§ 2702(b)(8) and 2702(c)(4), Parsafy maintains a policy of disclosing certain account records in good faith when an emergency presents an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury that necessitates immediate disclosure.

Emergency disclosure requests must be submitted by a sworn law enforcement official from an official law enforcement or governmental email domain to our dedicated emergency line:

📧 [email protected] — monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Requests submitted to this address must describe the nature of the emergency, the identity of the individual at risk, and how the requested Parsafy information will assist in addressing the emergency. Specific details enable faster legal review and processing.

⚠️ This channel is exclusively for sworn law enforcement or appropriate government officials in urgent situations involving imminent threats of death or serious bodily injury. Impersonating a law enforcement official is a criminal offense. Non-urgent requests submitted to this address will be redirected to standard processes.

For full submission requirements and guidelines, see our Law Enforcement Guide.

🗄️ Preservation Requests

Parsafy respects formal preservation requests from law enforcement agencies in compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f). Upon receipt of a valid preservation request, Parsafy will endeavor to preserve available account records associated with the identified user(s) and within the requested date range, held in an offline file pending the issuance of legal process.

🇺🇸 U.S. Preservation

Records preserved for up to 90 days, with one additional 90-day extension available upon a formal extension request.

🌍 Non-U.S. Preservation

As a courtesy, records may be preserved for up to 1 year while MLAT or letters rogatory processes are underway, with an additional 180-day extension available.

Law enforcement is strongly advised to submit preservation requests as early as possible following an incident — Parsafy users can delete content and accounts at any time, and data not preserved promptly may no longer be available when legal process is ultimately served.

👶 Child Safety & CSAM

Protecting children from sexual exploitation is one of Parsafy's highest priorities. When potential child sexual exploitation content is identified on our platform — through automated detection, user reports, or other means — our Trust & Safety team reviews these cases immediately.

All confirmed or apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. NCMEC reviews these reports and coordinates with domestic and international law enforcement agencies worldwide to ensure the safety and protection of children. Parsafy cooperates fully with all law enforcement investigations arising from these referrals.

Accounts confirmed to have engaged in CSAM-related activity are immediately and permanently terminated with no right of appeal.

To report child exploitation on Parsafy: Use the in-app report button or visit our Reporting Guide. You may also report directly to NCMEC at cybertipline.org or call 1-800-843-5678.

📬 User Notice Policy

Parsafy's policy is to notify users when we receive legal process seeking disclosure of their records. Prior to responding to such legal process, and unless a law or court order specifies otherwise, we provide affected users with a period to challenge the request in court.

Exceptions to User Notice

There are two exceptions to our standard user notice policy:

  • Court-ordered non-disclosure: If a court order under 18 U.S.C. § 2705(b) or equivalent legal authority prohibits us from notifying the user, we will comply — provided the order is duly authorized and specifies a finite duration. Indefinite non-disclosure orders are not recognized.
  • Exceptional circumstances: In cases involving imminent threats to life, child exploitation, or the trafficking of lethal substances, we may at our sole discretion forgo user notice where notification could compromise the investigation or endanger a person's safety.

Parsafy does not notify users when we receive preservation requests.

Law enforcement agencies seeking to delay user notification should include their position on notification — and any legal basis for non-disclosure — when submitting their request. For full guidance, see our Law Enforcement Guide.

🛡️ Abortion Services Protection

Parsafy AI Inc. is headquartered in California and operates in accordance with California state law. Parsafy does not respond to legal processes related to alleged violations of laws pertaining to the provision, facilitation, or obtaining of lawful abortion services in jurisdictions where such services are legal.

Requests of this nature will not be processed and will not receive a response. This policy reflects California law and Parsafy's commitment to protecting the privacy and safety of our users in connection with lawful healthcare decisions.

🏛️ Requests from Non-Governmental Entities

The law enforcement submission channels described on this page and in our Law Enforcement Guide are exclusively for sworn law enforcement officials and appropriate government agencies. We do not accept requests from non-governmental entities — including those involved in criminal defense, civil litigation, or civil discovery — through these channels.

Non-governmental entities seeking Parsafy account records must serve their legal demands through appropriate civil legal procedures, including in-person service to Parsafy AI Inc. or our designated agent, with proper domestication in California state where required.

⚠️ We do not accept service of civil discovery demands, defense subpoenas, or private legal process via email. Submissions of this nature through our law enforcement channels will not be processed.

⚖️ Testimony & Certificates of Authenticity

When Parsafy discloses records to U.S. law enforcement, those disclosures include a signed Certificate of Authenticity in accordance with Federal Rule of Evidence 902(11) or applicable state equivalents. This certificate is intended to negate the need for a live Custodian of Records to testify at trial.

If live testimony is nevertheless required, any testimonial subpoena must be properly domesticated and served in accordance with the Uniform Act to Secure the Attendance of a Witness from Without a State in Criminal Proceedings. Parsafy recommends providing a courtesy copy of any testimonial subpoena to [email protected] while domestication is pursued. Acceptance of a courtesy copy does not waive Parsafy's right to object on applicable legal grounds.

Parsafy may not be able to accommodate testimonial subpoenas served fewer than 21 days before the testimony is required.

Note: Parsafy does not provide expert witness testimony. Parsafy does not provide testimony outside the United States.

📤 How to Submit Requests

Until the Parsafy Law Enforcement Portal (PLEP) is operational, all law enforcement requests — including legal process, preservation requests, and general inquiries — should be directed to:

Legal process, preservation requests & general inquiries:
📧 [email protected] — from an official government or law enforcement email domain only

Emergency disclosure requests (imminent threat of life):
📧 [email protected] — monitored 24/7

When submitting a request, please accurately identify the Parsafy account at issue by username, email address, phone number (with international calling code for non-U.S. numbers), or hexadecimal User ID. We cannot locate accounts based solely on real names, dates of birth, street addresses, or other identifiers not listed above.

Receipt of requests through these channels is for convenience only and does not waive any legal rights or objections of Parsafy AI Inc. or its users.

For complete submission requirements, account identification guidance, data type details, and format specifications, please refer to our full Law Enforcement Guide.

Parsafy cannot provide legal advice to law enforcement officials. For clarification about legal restrictions on providers like Parsafy under U.S. law, we recommend contacting the U.S. Department of Justice's Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS).
