Counterfeit Policy & Reporting
Parsafy AI Inc. strictly prohibits the sale, promotion, facilitation, or distribution of counterfeit goods on our platform. Counterfeit goods deceive consumers, harm legitimate brand owners, and undermine the integrity of commerce. This policy applies to all users of Parsafy, including creators, advertisers, and anyone using Parsafy's AI-powered tools to generate or promote content.
This policy should be read alongside our Trademark Policy & Reporting page, which addresses the broader unauthorized use of trademarks. While related, the counterfeit policy specifically targets the sale, promotion, or distribution of counterfeit goods and unauthorized digital content — not merely misleading trademark use.
🚫 Overview & Prohibition
Parsafy is committed to maintaining a trustworthy and authentic platform for creators, consumers, and brand partners. The sale or promotion of counterfeit goods on Parsafy is strictly prohibited, regardless of whether the goods are physical or digital, whether they are described as "replicas," "dupes," "fakes," "imitations," or "inspired by" products, and regardless of price point.
This prohibition applies to all content on Parsafy, including but not limited to:
- Posts, stories, and videos promoting or advertising counterfeit goods.
- Direct messages used to solicit or facilitate the sale of counterfeit goods.
- Links to external websites or platforms selling counterfeit goods.
- AI-generated content created using Parsafy's tools (including ViraFrame) that promotes counterfeit goods.
- Accounts or pages whose primary purpose is to sell or promote counterfeit goods.
📖 What Are Counterfeit Goods?
Counterfeit goods are products — physical or digital — that use a trademark, brand name, logo, or other brand identifier that is identical to or substantially indistinguishable from a registered trademark or brand, without the authorization of the brand owner, in a way that is likely to deceive consumers.
Counterfeit goods include:
- Products bearing a fake version of a registered trademark — for example, a handbag with a fake Louis Vuitton logo, or a phone charger falsely marked with an Apple logo.
- Products falsely represented as genuine branded goods that are, in fact, unauthorized imitations.
- Products described as "replicas," "dupes," "faux," or "imitations" of branded goods when those descriptions involve use of the brand's actual trademark or logo without authorization.
- Digital goods — including software, media files, in-game items, NFTs, or AI-generated content — that falsely represent themselves as authentic, licensed, or official products of a brand.
- Unauthorized access codes, license keys, or subscriptions to paid software or services.
🔀 Counterfeit Policy vs. Trademark Policy — What's the Difference?
Parsafy maintains two related but distinct policies covering intellectual property in the commercial context. Understanding which policy applies to your situation will help you file the correct type of report.
| Issue | Counterfeit Policy | Trademark Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Primary concern | Sale or promotion of fake goods using a brand's trademark without authorization. | Unauthorized use of a trademark that misleads about brand affiliation or endorsement — not necessarily involving goods. |
| Typical examples | Fake designer handbags, counterfeit electronics, unauthorized digital goods, fake software licenses. | Impersonating a brand in a username, falsely claiming sponsorship, unauthorized use of a logo in marketing. |
| Commercial transaction involved? | Usually yes — sale, promotion, or facilitation of purchase. | Not necessarily — may involve misleading content without a transaction. |

⚖️ Violations vs. Non-Violations
✗ Policy Violations
- Selling or promoting non-genuine products that impersonate genuine products of a trademark or brand owner.
- Advertising products as "replicas," "dupes," "faux," or "imitations" using the brand's actual trademark or logo without authorization.
- Offering, promoting, selling, or facilitating unauthorized access to digital content, software, subscriptions, or media.
- Directing users to third-party websites or channels that sell counterfeit goods.
- Operating accounts whose primary or substantial purpose is to promote or sell counterfeit goods.
- Using AI-generated content (including content created via ViraFrame) to advertise or promote counterfeit goods.
- Selling counterfeit goods through Parsafy's direct messaging features.
✓ Generally Not Violations
- Providing news coverage, journalistic reporting, or commentary about counterfeit goods or the counterfeit goods industry.
- Educational content about how to identify counterfeit products or protect oneself from fraud.
- The legitimate resale of genuine branded goods, including secondhand or pre-owned items, where the goods are authentic.
- Consumer reviews of genuine branded products.
- Criticism or satire of brands that does not involve the sale of fake goods.
- Misleading trademark use that does not involve the sale or promotion of counterfeit goods — this falls under our Trademark Policy, not this counterfeit policy.
🤖 Digital Goods, AI-Generated Content & Counterfeit Policy
Parsafy's counterfeit policy applies equally to digital goods and AI-generated content. The following are expressly prohibited:
- Unauthorized software or media: Selling, distributing, or facilitating access to pirated software, unauthorized copies of films, music, games, or other digital media.
- Fake license keys or access codes: Selling or distributing unauthorized activation codes, license keys, or subscription credentials for paid software or services.
- Counterfeit digital collectibles: Selling or promoting digital assets (including NFTs) that falsely claim to be official, authorized, or authentic releases from a brand or creator.
- AI-generated fakes: Using Parsafy's AI tools or any other AI platform to generate content that falsely presents itself as an official brand product, authorized release, or genuine communication from a brand — including fake advertisements, fake product launches, or fake brand endorsements.
- Deepfake brand content: AI-generated video, audio, or images that falsely depict brand representatives, spokespersons, or products in a way that deceives consumers about authenticity or brand affiliation.
📣 Advertisers & Creators
Parsafy's counterfeit policy applies to all forms of content on the platform, including paid advertisements, sponsored posts, and creator-monetized content. Brand owners and advertisers operating on Parsafy must comply with this policy in addition to our Commercial Content Policy.
Violations of this policy by advertisers or creators may result in:
- Immediate rejection or removal of promoted or sponsored content.
- Suspension or permanent removal from Parsafy's advertising and creator monetization programs.
- Forfeiture of any revenue earned through content that violated this policy.
- Account suspension or permanent termination.
- Referral to relevant brand owners and law enforcement authorities.
Creators and advertisers are responsible for ensuring that all products and services they promote on Parsafy are genuine and lawfully authorized for sale. Parsafy may require proof of authenticity or authorization before approving promoted content in categories known to be at high risk of counterfeiting, including but not limited to luxury goods, electronics, software, and pharmaceuticals.
