This notice provides additional information for users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK). Users in the EEA and UK have certain privacy rights as specified under EU and UK law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.


Our Privacy Principles and the privacy controls we offer to all users align with these laws — this notice ensures we cover EEA and UK-specific requirements. This version adds transparency about legitimate interests, data retention timelines, cross-border safeguards, and limited automated processing.

Rights of Access, Deletion, Correction, and Portability

You can exercise your rights of access, deletion, correction, and portability as described in the "Control Over Your Information" section of our Privacy Policy.

Bases for Using Your Information

Your country only allows us to use your personal information when certain conditions apply. These conditions are referred to as "legal bases." At Parsafy AI Inc., we typically rely on one of four:

Contract

We may use your information because you have entered into an agreement with us. For example, when you use our services and accept our Terms of Service, we need to use some of your information to provide the service you have requested.

Legitimate Interest

We may use your information because we — or a third party — have a legitimate interest in doing so. For example, to provide and improve our services, protect your account, provide customer support, and help you find content you will enjoy. Our interests do not outweigh your right to privacy, so we only rely on this where our use does not significantly impact your privacy or is reasonably expected by you.

Consent

In some cases we will ask for your consent to use your information for specific purposes. If we do, we will make sure you can revoke your consent in our services or through your device permissions at any time. Even if we are not relying on consent, we may still ask permission to access data like contacts or location.

Legal Obligation

We may be required to use your personal information to comply with the law — for example, when we respond to valid legal process or need to take action to protect our users. Our policy is to notify users when we receive legal process seeking their account information, with some exceptions, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

Examples of Our Legitimate Interests

We process certain personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), including:

  • Security & fraud prevention: Verifying accounts, detecting abuse, preventing spam and impersonation, and maintaining platform integrity.
  • Age verification compliance: Maintaining records of ComplyCube identity verification to ensure our 18+ platform access requirements are upheld.
  • Service improvement: Analysing feature usage to enhance performance, stability, and usability of Parsafy and its tools including ViraFrame, Tellefy, Guilda, and Collaboration.
  • Personalisation: Recommending relevant content, creators, or features to improve your experience on the platform.
  • Business operations: Internal records, network and information security, service continuity, and essential communications.

Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or to meet legal requirements. Typical periods:

After these periods, data is securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with applicable law.

Cross-Border Transfers & Regional Storage

We use secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare). Where possible, data originating in the EEA or UK is stored within that region.

Transfers outside the EEA/UK: If transfers outside the EEA or UK are necessary (for example, to the United States), we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (IDTA) to ensure equivalent protection. Automated Processing and Profiling

We use limited automated systems to:

  • Detect and prevent fraud or policy violations.
  • Moderate content to uphold our Community Guidelines.
  • Recommend relevant content or features based on your activity on Parsafy.

These automated processes support a safe, personalised experience and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you as defined under GDPR Article 22. You may request human review of any automated decision by contacting [email protected].

Your Right to Object

As a user, you have the right to object to our use of your information. For many types of data, we have provided you with the ability to simply delete it if you no longer want us processing it. For other types of data, you can stop the use of your data by disabling the relevant feature in your account settings.

If there are other types of information you do not agree with us processing, you can contact us. This may apply in circumstances where you do not want us to delete your information but want us to stop processing it. Please note that if there is a legal or official requirement for us to continue processing your data, we may not be able to comply with your request.

You have a significant level of control over the personal data you provide to us. We want to respect your choices and control over your data while continuing to provide the best possible services.
