European Digital Services Act (DSA)
This page provides information about the European Digital Services Act, how Parsafy AI Inc. is aligning with its requirements, and our full DSA Compliance & Transparency Statement for EU and EEA users.
Frequently Asked Questions About the European Digital Services Act
The European Digital Services Act (DSA) is a regulation introduced within the European Union (EU) designed to govern a range of online services — including social media platforms, online marketplaces, search engines, and very large online platforms (VLOPs) and very large online search engines (VLOSEs).
The DSA has several key objectives:
- Enhancing Content Moderation Transparency: Establishing clearer transparency requirements for content moderation processes employed by online platforms.
- Improving Content Recommendation Transparency: Enhancing transparency in content recommendation and personalization algorithms, giving users more insight into how content is curated and delivered.
- Strengthening Reporting of Illegal Content: Simplifying the process of reporting and removing illegal content from online platforms, contributing to a safer online environment.
- Protection of Users: Parsafy is an 18+ platform — all users are verified adults who have completed identity verification through ComplyCube before accessing the platform. Our architecture goes beyond DSA minimum protection requirements.
The DSA is part of the EU's broader efforts to ensure responsible and safe online practices for its citizens. For more information, please consult the European Commission's DSA resources.
Parsafy AI Inc. is committed to fulfilling all DSA obligations. Our core values have always aligned with the principles enshrined in the DSA — chiefly, the creation of a secure, transparent, and fair online environment. To meet our commitments, we have introduced several enhancements for EU users:
Enhanced User Content Control
All EU users have the ability to understand why they are shown specific content and opt out of personalized content experiences at any time. We have also published guidelines explaining how our personalization systems function — see our [Guidelines for Eligible Content Recommendation].
Notification and Appeals Process for Content Removal
Parsafy notifies users about the reasons for any content or account removal and provides a straightforward path to appeal. We are integrating with the European Commission's Transparency API to provide information about enforcement decisions related to EU-based accounts or content.
Updates to Advertising 18+ Platform
As Parsafy is a verified 18+ platform, all users are adults. In response to DSA requirements:
- All verified EU users receive increased advertising transparency and control.
- A digital ad library for EU-targeted advertisements is being established.
- All paid advertisements are clearly marked as "Sponsored."
Commitment to Compliance
Parsafy AI Inc. has designated DSA compliance officers responsible for overseeing our obligations. For additional information, please contact our DSA compliance team at [email protected].
Parsafy was built as a free-speech-focused platform, and the DSA does not change that. The DSA does not require platforms to censor legal speech — it requires platforms to have clear, transparent, and fair processes for handling illegal content and to be accountable for how those processes work.
What this means in practice on Parsafy:
- Legal content — including controversial, political, or dissenting speech — is fully protected on Parsafy.
- Only content that violates EU law (such as illegal hate speech, CSAM, or incitement to violence) is subject to removal under DSA obligations.
- Our Community Guidelines define what is and is not permitted on Parsafy. These guidelines are designed to protect free expression while maintaining a safe environment.
- If your content is ever removed, you will be notified with the specific reason and given a clear path to appeal.
The DSA includes specific requirements to protect minors from targeted advertising and harmful content. Parsafy exceeds these requirements because our platform is exclusively for verified adults aged 18 and over.
Here is how our approach goes beyond DSA minimum standards:
- Mandatory identity and age verification: Every user must complete verification through ComplyCube before accessing Parsafy. No account can be created without passing this check.
- Zero minor access: Unlike other platforms that apply post-access restrictions for minors, Parsafy prevents underage access entirely at the registration level.
- No reactive minor protections needed: Because no minors can access Parsafy, DSA requirements for restricting targeted advertising to under-17s are satisfied at the architecture level.
Under DSA Article 16, platforms must provide EU users with a clear and accessible mechanism to report illegal content. On Parsafy, here is how it works:
- In-platform reporting: Tap or click the "⋯" menu on any post, comment, or account and select Report. Select the relevant category — illegal content, harassment, fraud, etc.
- Legal Request Form: For formal legal notices, EU users and authorities can submit reports through our Legal Request Form.
- Review process: Every valid report is reviewed by a trained human moderator — no final decision is made by automated systems alone.
- Notification: You will receive a notification confirming your report has been received and informing you of the outcome once a decision is made.
- Record keeping: Parsafy maintains internal records of all notices received and actions taken as required under DSA Article 17.
We aim to review all reports promptly. Complex cases involving potential violations of EU law are escalated to our DSA Compliance Team at [email protected].
Yes — absolutely. Under DSA Article 20, you have the right to appeal any content removal or account restriction decision. Parsafy provides multiple ways to do this:
- In-app appeal: If your content or account has been restricted or removed, you will receive a notification with the reason. You can appeal directly from the notification panel in your account.
- Appeal form: Submit your appeal through our Privacy Rights Appeal form.
- Email: Contact our compliance team at [email protected] with your appeal details.
Our moderation team reviews all appeals and communicates decisions generally within 30 days. For complex cases, we may require additional time and will notify you accordingly.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you also have the right to seek redress through your national Digital Services Coordinator or file a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Under DSA Article 27, platforms must provide transparency about recommender systems and offer users at least one option not based on profiling. Parsafy complies with — and goes beyond — this requirement.
How our recommendation system works:
- By default, content is personalized based on your activity on Parsafy — such as what you engage with, follow, and create.
- Our system uses this data to surface content, creators, and features we think you will find relevant.
- We do not use sensitive personal data (such as political views, health data, or religious beliefs) for content recommendation.
Your controls:
- You can switch between Personalized and Chronological content views at any time from your feed settings.
- You can adjust or reset your interest profile under Settings → Privacy & Content.
- You can opt out of content personalization entirely — your feed will then show content in chronological order without algorithmic ranking.
For more detail on how our content recommendation works, see our [Guidelines for Eligible Content Recommendation].
No — the DSA does not restrict creator monetization on Parsafy. The DSA is focused on platform transparency, content moderation accountability, and advertising standards — not on limiting how creators earn.
Here is what the DSA means for you as a creator on Parsafy:
- Revenue sharing is unaffected: Parsafy's creator revenue sharing model continues as designed. The DSA does not impose restrictions on platform-to-creator payments.
- Branded content and sponsorships: You must clearly disclose any sponsored or paid content to your audience — this is already required under Parsafy's Branded Content Policy and is reinforced by DSA Article 26.
- Marketplace features: The Parsafy Marketplace operates within DSA compliance — EU users will see clear disclosures on all commercial transactions.
- Transparency protects you: The DSA's transparency requirements actually benefit creators by ensuring that content removal decisions affecting your account must be clearly explained and are subject to appeal.
Under DSA Article 26, all ads on Parsafy must be clearly labeled and users must be able to report them. Here is how:
- Tap or click the "⋯" menu on any advertisement.
- Select "Report Ad" and choose the reason — misleading, inappropriate, suspected fraud, or other.
- Your report is routed directly to Parsafy's Notice-and-Action system and reviewed by our compliance team.
Every ad on Parsafy also includes a "Why am I seeing this ad?" link that discloses:
- Whether the ad is targeted or contextual.
- The main parameters used to show it to you.
- The identity of the advertiser and whether it is a paid campaign.
If you believe an ad violates EU advertising law — for example, if it involves illegal goods, services, or deceptive practices — you can also report it directly to your national advertising standards authority or Digital Services Coordinator.
For serious concerns, contact our compliance team at [email protected].

This inbox is monitored by our DSA Compliance Team within Parsafy AI Inc.
EU users can report illegal content or potential violations of EU law or our Community Guidelines directly via Parsafy's in-platform reporting tools or through our Legal Request Form.
Each valid notice is reviewed by our moderation specialists. When appropriate, we will:
- Remove or restrict the reported content.
- Notify the content creator with the reason for the action and the possibility to appeal.
We maintain internal records of all notices received and actions taken as required under Article 17 DSA.
If your content or account has been restricted or removed, you may appeal the decision directly from the notification panel in your account or by submitting our Privacy Rights Appeal form.
You may also contact us at [email protected]. Our moderation team reviews appeals promptly and communicates decisions generally within 30 days.
Parsafy is currently in its launch phase and does not yet operate at the scale requiring formal transparency reporting under Articles 15 or 42 of the DSA.
Once advertising features and large-scale user operations become active, Parsafy will begin publishing biannual Transparency Reports detailing content moderation actions, appeals, and advertising transparency metrics.
A Transparency Report page will be published prior to full public launch to outline our methodology and reporting schedule.
We use a combination of:
- Automated detection tools for spam, explicit content, and fraud patterns.
- Human review by trained moderation specialists.
Automation supports efficiency, but no final removal decision is made solely by AI — human oversight is always applied to content moderation decisions.
All paid advertisements shown to EU users are clearly marked as "Sponsored."
As Parsafy is an 18+ platform with mandatory identity verification, all users receiving advertising are verified adults. Our advertising practices therefore exceed the DSA's minimum requirements for minor protection.
- Ad targeting for all users is limited to high-level interest categories (e.g., art, technology, lifestyle, advocacy).
- Users can adjust their ad preference settings at any time through Settings → Privacy & Advertising.
- Every ad shown to EU users includes a "Why am I seeing this ad?" disclosure link.
Parsafy AI Inc. has appointed a DSA Compliance Officer responsible for oversight of these obligations and annual reporting to executive management.
