Frequently Asked Privacy Questions

Learn how to request a copy of your personal data on our Download My Data page.

You have direct access to and the ability to modify most of your core account details through the Parsafy app and website. Additionally, our Download My Data feature allows you to obtain a copy of information not readily accessible through our app, presented in a transferable format for your convenience.

To ensure the security of your personal data, we may request identity confirmation or additional information before granting access or allowing updates. Please understand that there may be instances where we decline a request for access or modifications — for example, if fulfilling the request poses a risk to the privacy of other users or violates applicable legal regulations. Your privacy and the security of your data remain our top priorities.

We share your information under specific circumstances. For instance, when you choose to post publicly or send a message through Parsafy’s Tellefy, your details such as your username may be visible to others. We also share information within the Parsafy AI Inc. family of companies, with trusted service providers and business partners who help us deliver our services, and when we are legally obligated to do so.

For a comprehensive understanding of our data sharing practices, please consult our Privacy Policy and our Service Providers page.

When you send Parsafy your data, it is directed to our servers, including those hosted in the United States. These servers are primarily maintained by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

If we need to transfer your personal data to a location outside your country or region — including for storage purposes — we ensure that adequate protections are in place as required by applicable law. Specifically, we provide these safeguards for users in regions such as the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions with cross-border data transfer requirements. These protections typically involve internationally recognized contractual mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

For details on how long we retain various types of data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

The most up-to-date overview of the purposes for processing can be found in the “How We Use Your Information” section of our Privacy Policy.

We understand that it’s your decision and we want to make it as straightforward as possible. If you wish to delete your account, simply follow the instructions on our How to Delete Your Parsafy Account page.

Please Note: Deleting your Parsafy account will permanently remove your access to all content, connections, and associated data within the Parsafy platform.

Maintaining privacy can be challenging if you don’t feel both safe and secure. That’s why Parsafy offers security features such as Login Verification (two-factor authentication) to protect your account. We also invest significant resources to secure our own infrastructure, including encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.

For more information on how we protect your privacy, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

You can read more about Parsafy’s retention practices in the “How Long We Keep Your Information” section of our Privacy Policy.

If you are based in the EU, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority in your Member State at any time. For example, if you are based in the UK, you can file a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

If you are located within the EU, you have the right to object to our processing of your data. For many types of data, we have given you the option to delete it directly if you no longer want us to process it. For other categories, you can halt the use of your data by disabling that particular feature within the Parsafy app or your account settings.

If you have concerns about our processing of other types of information, please contact us at [email protected] or submit a request through our Contact Us page.

In some states you have the right to opt out of targeted advertising. Parsafy provides all users the ability to do so by adjusting your in-app advertising preferences to turn off activity-based ads. You can learn more on our Advertising and Interest Preferences page.

Yes, we collect some information deemed sensitive under U.S. state privacy laws. For a current overview of the information we collect in California, please refer to our California Privacy Choices.

If you are a resident of California, you have the right to request that Parsafy restrict the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information — such as precise geolocation data. You can manage your location sharing preferences within your Parsafy account settings. If you wish to share precise location for certain features but not for advertising purposes, you can configure this separately within your account settings.

Residents of Virginia (from January 1, 2023), Colorado and Connecticut (from July 1, 2023), and other states with applicable privacy laws have the right to appeal if a privacy rights request is denied. If we deny your request, we will provide you with the necessary information to lodge an appeal at that time.

You may also appeal a decision by contacting us at [email protected] or through our Contact Us page.

Please note that appeals may only be submitted — and Parsafy will only respond to appeals — in relation to decisions to deny your rights to: (i) understand the data Parsafy processes about you, (ii) access your data, (iii) download your data, or (iv) delete your data.
