U.S. State Privacy Notice – Parsafy
Update Notice (June 2026): This Notice has been updated to include new state privacy laws effective in 2026. If you live in one of the states listed below, additional rights and obligations now apply. Parsafy already provides consistent privacy protections to all U.S. users, but this section ensures compliance with each state's specific requirements.

We have composed this U.S. State Privacy Notice to furnish additional details for residents of California, Nevada, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, and Rhode Island. Users in these states possess certain privacy rights as stipulated under state law.

Our Privacy Principles and the privacy controls we extend to all users are aligned with these laws — this Notice ensures we meet state-specific obligations. For instance, all users can request a copy of their data, ask for deletion, and manage their privacy settings in the app. For a comprehensive understanding, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

This Notice will be updated every 12 months and you will be notified of updates in line with our Privacy Policy.

  • You have the right to know whether we sell or share your data and to opt out if we do. Good news — we don't sell or share your data as defined by these state laws.
  • You have the right to receive an overview of the personal information we collect, how we use it, and which service providers we disclose it to.
  • You can request access to your data, obtain a copy, and request us to correct or delete your personal information.
  • Your authorized agent can always reach out to us on your behalf.
  • You may have additional specific privacy rights in your state — addressed in the state-specific sections below.

Your Rights

Right to Understand and Correct Your Personal Information
You have the right to know the specific personal information we have collected about you and the right to correct inaccurate data. We present this information in our Privacy Center. You can also request a copy of your data through your account settings or by using our Download My Data feature, which provides a copy of your information in a portable format you can transfer or store wherever you wish.

Right to Know With Whom We Share Your Data
We do not sell your data or share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do share your information with service providers for valid business purposes — for example, to store and host your data. See the Sharing Your Information section below for more details.

Right to Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your data, unless an exception applies — for example, when we need to retain data to fulfill legal obligations, detect fraud, investigate reports of abuse or Terms of Service violations, or resolve security issues. Upon your verified request, we will delete your personal information and instruct our service providers to do the same. See the "How Long We Keep Your Information" section of our Privacy Policy for more details. To delete your account, visit our How to Delete Your Parsafy Account page.

Right to a Prompt Response
You have the right to make two free requests in any 12-month period. We will respond to your request within 45 days. In more complex cases, we may extend our response time by an additional 45 days. The easiest way to obtain information is by logging into your account. You or your authorized agent can also email [email protected].

Non-Discrimination
We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We encourage you to review your privacy settings closely and reach out to us with any questions.

The most straightforward way to exercise your rights is by logging into your account so we can verify your identity. You can also email us at [email protected], though we may require additional information to authenticate your identity and verify account ownership.

We Don't Sell Your Data

We do not sell your data and we do not share your data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. To maintain Parsafy's operations, we do display ads. In the event that any personal information is disclosed in order to display those ads, it would only be disclosed to our service provider(s) working on our behalf. Service providers are not permitted to use your personal information for their own purposes.

We strive to make these ads relevant and engaging. For more information on advertising and interest preferences, visit our Advertising and Interest Preferences page.

Information We Collect

As outlined in our Privacy Policy, we collect personal information for a broad array of purposes — but the main reason we collect information is to deliver the best possible products and services. Privacy by design is our fundamental approach, meaning we ensure not to collect more information than necessary or for purposes that are unrelated to what is stated in our Privacy Policy.

In the last 12 months, we have collected the following personal information:

  • Identifiers — such as your name, display name, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, IP address, email address, and username. Used primarily to deliver our services and create your account.
  • Personal information categories listed in California Customer Records provisions — such as your name, address, telephone number, and payment number (last 4 digits only). Used to facilitate your purchases on Parsafy.
  • Characteristics of protected classifications — such as your gender and age. Collected primarily to verify your age (18+ requirement), ensure eligibility to use our services, and to show you more relevant content and ads.
  • Commercial information — such as products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories. Retained when you make purchases through Parsafy or engage with ads on our platform.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information — such as session logs, search history, and information on your interaction with our platform, application, or advertisements.
  • Geolocation data — such as your physical location. Used to offer certain location-based features and to serve you more personalized content and ads. We do not sell or share your precise geolocation with any third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information — such as visuals and other content you create on Parsafy. Collected and stored as applicable laws allow.
  • Inferences drawn from other personal information — used to create a profile reflecting your preferences and characteristics, for example to deliver more relevant ads or content.
  • Sensitive personal information — with your consent, we collect some information considered sensitive, such as your precise geolocation and identity verification data collected via ComplyCube for 18+ access compliance. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information with any third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or their own purposes.

This data may be collected when you provide it to us, when you use our services, or when we receive it from third parties. For more details, see the "Information We Collect" section in our Privacy Policy.

Please note that personal information does not include publicly available information from government records, or de-identified or aggregated consumer information.

Sharing Your Information

While we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we may share your personal information for business purposes or at your direction. For instance, we share your personal information with our data hosting and storage providers. We have agreements with our service providers that restrict them to use your information for specific purposes only and obligate them to ensure its confidentiality.

In the past 12 months, we have disclosed the categories of personal information listed above for business purposes or at your direction with our affiliates, service providers, and third parties. For more information, please refer to the "How We Share Your Information" section in our Privacy Policy and our Service Providers page.
