🔜 Parsafy Law Enforcement Portal (PLEP)

⏳ Coming Soon

The Parsafy Law Enforcement Portal (PLEP) is currently under development. PLEP will be the primary channel for U.S. and non-U.S. law enforcement to submit legal process, preservation requests, and related inquiries — with real-time status tracking.

Until PLEP is live, all legal process and preservation requests should be submitted via email at [email protected]. We will announce PLEP availability through this page.

📧 Email Submissions (Current Method)

Legal process & preservation requests:
[email protected]

Emergency disclosure requests:
[email protected]

Content/account takedown orders:
[email protected]

We only accept requests from official government or law enforcement email domains. We do not accept requests from private email domains (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).

🚨 Emergency Disclosure Requests

Law enforcement officials requiring emergency disclosure of Parsafy account records due to an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury should email our dedicated emergency line:

📧 [email protected]

When submitting an emergency disclosure request, please provide: the Parsafy username, hexadecimal User ID, associated phone number, or email address of the account at issue; a specific description of the nature of the emergency; the identity of the individual at risk; and how the requested Parsafy account information will assist in addressing the emergency. Specific details enable faster legal review and processing under 18 U.S.C. §§ 2702(b)(8), (c)(4).

⚠️ Important: This channel is exclusively for sworn law enforcement or appropriate government officials in urgent situations involving imminent threats of death or serious bodily injury. Impersonating a law enforcement official is a criminal offense in the United States and other jurisdictions. Non-urgent requests submitted to this address will be redirected to standard submission processes.

🔒 Parsafy's Commitment to User Privacy

Parsafy is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We disclose user account records to law enforcement only in strict accordance with our Terms of Service, applicable law, and the legal process requirements described in this guide. We will not voluntarily disclose user data to governments or law enforcement agencies absent valid legal process — except where we believe in good faith that an emergency involving an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury requires immediate disclosure under 18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8).

Parsafy scrutinizes all government requests for legal sufficiency and for implications for user privacy before responding. We reserve the right to object to requests that are legally deficient, overbroad, or otherwise improper.

Receipt of law enforcement requests through any of our channels is for convenience only and does not waive any objections or legal rights of Parsafy AI Inc. or its users.

Note: Parsafy cannot offer legal advice to law enforcement officials. For clarification about legal restrictions on providers like Parsafy under U.S. law, we recommend contacting the U.S. Department of Justice's Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS).

🇺🇸 U.S. Legal Process Requirements

Parsafy discloses user account records to U.S. law enforcement and governmental agencies in strict accordance with our Terms of Service and the Stored Communications Act (18 U.S.C. § 2701 et seq., "SCA"). The SCA dictates the types of legal process that can compel disclosure of specific categories of Parsafy account records.

Parsafy requires a valid order under the Pen Register Act (18 U.S.C. § 3121 et seq.) or the Wiretap Act (18 U.S.C. § 2510 et seq.), or an equivalent state law, to provide metadata or content information on a prospective basis.

Legal Process by Data Type

Data Type Required Legal Process Notes
Basic Subscriber Information Subpoena  § 2703(d) Order  Search Warrant Includes grand jury subpoenas.
Communications Metadata § 2703(d) Order  Search Warrant Logs of communication activity.
Non-Communications Metadata § 2703(d) Order  Search Warrant Follower/following lists, device identifiers, post metadata.
Location Data Search Warrant Only available for users who enabled location services.
Content (Posts, Highlights, ViraFrame) Search Warrant Federal or state search warrant required.
Tellefy Message Content Not available Tellefy messages are end-to-end encrypted and cannot be decrypted by Parsafy.

🌍 Non-U.S. Legal Process Requirements

Non-U.S. law enforcement agencies typically need to utilize the mechanisms of the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT), a CLOUD Act bilateral agreement, or letters rogatory processes to request Parsafy account records from Parsafy AI Inc.

As a gesture of cooperation, Parsafy will review and respond to properly submitted preservation requests from non-U.S. agencies (see Preservation Requests section below).

For legal requests that fall outside MLAT or CLOUD Act processes, Parsafy may, at its discretion and in accordance with U.S. law, provide limited Parsafy account records to non-U.S. law enforcement and governmental agencies where the legal process is duly authorized in the requesting country and seeks only basic subscriber information and/or IP data.

Parsafy may, in certain circumstances consistent with U.S. legal requirements, provide limited non-content account records to non-U.S. law enforcement on an emergency basis when we believe it is necessary to prevent imminent death or serious bodily harm.

Non-U.S. agencies are encouraged to use [email protected] for all requests until the Parsafy Law Enforcement Portal (PLEP) is operational. All requests must originate from an official government or law enforcement email domain.

🔍 Identifying a Parsafy Account

Prior to submitting legal requests for the preservation or disclosure of Parsafy account records, it is essential to accurately identify the Parsafy account at issue. Parsafy can locate accounts using the following identifiers:

  • Parsafy username (preferred — see below)
  • Email address associated with the account
  • Phone number associated with the account (include international calling code for non-U.S. numbers)
  • Hexadecimal User ID — formatted in the 0-0-0-0-00 structure as represented in Parsafy's systems
⚠️ We cannot locate Parsafy accounts based solely on: real names, display names alone, dates of birth, street addresses, Social Security numbers, content or media shared, or geographic location at a specific time.

Parsafy Usernames

A Parsafy username is a unique identifier tied to a specific account. Users may change their username periodically. A username change does not affect Parsafy's ability to preserve or disclose available user data, provided the legal request specifies either the original or the new username.

Parsafy username characteristics:

  • Must be between 3–15 characters in length.
  • Can only include letters, numbers, and the special characters hyphen (–), underscore (_), and period (.).
  • Cannot include more than one consecutive special character.
  • Cannot end with a hyphen, underscore, or period.
  • Cannot contain spaces, emojis, or symbols such as @, $, #.
  • Appears in lower-case letters within the app.

To verify a username exists, enter it into Parsafy's in-app Search feature. If the username does not appear, the account either does not exist or has been deleted. Note that some deleted Parsafy accounts may retain limited account records depending on various factors including retention schedules and prior preservation requests.

All Parsafy accounts require one-time identity verification via ComplyCube prior to activation. Display names on Parsafy reflect the user's verified identity.

📬 Submitting Legal Process to Parsafy

Submission Method

Until the Parsafy Law Enforcement Portal (PLEP) is operational, all legal process and preservation requests should be submitted via email to [email protected] from an official government or law enforcement email domain. We do not accept requests from private email domains.

Format Requirements

Legal process submitted to Parsafy must:

  • Be submitted in a non-editable static file format (such as PDF).
  • Name "Parsafy AI Inc." as the Custodian of Records.
  • Be signed and dated by the appropriate authority.
  • For requests covering multiple Parsafy accounts, include all accounts in a single legal document (e.g., one subpoena). Parsafy may request justification if a single legal process involves a large number of accounts.
  • For requests involving more than 10 Parsafy accounts, also include an editable copy (DOCX or TXT format) to facilitate accurate processing. Failure to provide an editable copy may result in delayed processing.

Required Information

Each legal process submission should specify:

  • The Parsafy username, email address, phone number (with international calling code if non-U.S.), or hexadecimal User ID of the account(s) at issue.
  • The specific type(s) of data requested (see data type sections below).
  • The target date range in month/day/year format, including applicable time zone. Note: Records disclosed by Parsafy are provided in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
  • Response contact information, including an official governmental email address.
  • Your position on notifying the affected Parsafy user(s), and the reason for any objection to notification.

📄 Basic Subscriber Information

Basic subscriber information is collected when a user creates or updates a Parsafy account. Basic subscriber information typically includes the categories listed in 18 U.S.C. § 2703(c)(2), which for Parsafy may encompass:

  • Current and previous Parsafy usernames.
  • Current and previous email addresses associated with the account, and their verification status.
  • Current and previous phone numbers associated with the account, and their verification status.
  • Parsafy account creation date and associated IP address.
  • IP addresses (and timestamps) related to various device activities on the account.
  • Certain details about the user's usage of Parsafy services and account settings.

A valid phone number and email address are required for all Parsafy accounts. Phone number and email verification is conducted via third-party providers including Telesign and ComplyCube.

IP logs connected with Parsafy account logins, logouts, failed login attempts, authentication events, and follow-related activities are retained for a limited period while an account is active and for a defined period after deletion. IP logs tied to specific feature interactions may be retained for an extended duration.

Required legal process: Subpoena  § 2703(d) Order  Search Warrant

🔗 Metadata

Communications Metadata

Parsafy may have logs available that contain metadata about a user's communications — such as the timing and frequency of messages sent and received through Tellefy, without the content of those messages. Note that the content of Tellefy messages is end-to-end encrypted and unavailable to Parsafy — see the Content section below.

Required legal process: § 2703(d) Order  Search Warrant

Non-Communications Metadata

Metadata unrelated to communications may be available, such as information about a user's follower and following lists, device identifiers, post metadata (including timestamps and device information associated with posts and highlights), and ViraFrame activity metadata.

Required legal process: § 2703(d) Order  Search Warrant

📍 Location Data

Location data may be available for users who have enabled location services on their device and opted into location services within the Parsafy app settings. Location data is not collected for users who have not enabled these settings.

Parsafy can provide available geolocation data for an entire account, or geolocation data associated with specific post or highlight activity where such data was captured at the time of posting.

Required legal process: Search Warrant (Federal or state)

📁 Content

Posts & Highlights

Parsafy's servers store user-generated content including posts (text, images, and video shared publicly or to followers) and highlights (curated collections of posts). This content may be available subject to the legal process requirements below.

Required legal process: Search Warrant (Federal or state)

ViraFrame Content

AI-generated and edited video content created using ViraFrame may be retained on Parsafy's servers depending on whether the user has published, saved, or deleted the content. Published ViraFrame content is subject to the same legal process requirements as posts.

Required legal process: Search Warrant (Federal or state)

Tellefy Messages — Encrypted / Not Available

Tellefy, Parsafy's messaging feature, uses end-to-end encryption. The content of Tellefy messages is encrypted in transit and at rest in a manner that prevents Parsafy from decrypting or accessing it. Parsafy cannot provide the content of Tellefy messages in response to any legal process, regardless of the legal process presented.

💡 Note: While the content of Tellefy messages is unavailable, communications metadata (timing, frequency, account identifiers) may be available with appropriate legal process as described in the Metadata section above.

🗄️ Preservation Requests

A preservation request to Parsafy captures available user data at a specific point in time — including basic subscriber information, metadata, geolocation data (where available), and content such as posts, highlights, and ViraFrame-generated content. Law enforcement is strongly advised to request preservation of relevant data promptly following an incident for which evidence is needed, as data may be deleted by users or pursuant to Parsafy's retention schedules.

U.S. Preservation Requests

Parsafy complies with preservation requests from U.S. law enforcement in line with 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f). Upon receiving a valid preservation request, we endeavor to preserve available Parsafy account records within the specified date range for properly identified accounts. Preserved records are maintained in an offline file for up to 90 days. Parsafy will extend this period for an additional 90 days upon receiving a timely extension request.

As 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f) does not accommodate serial preservation requests beyond one additional 90-day period, Parsafy does not typically comply with requests for additional extensions. In exceptional circumstances and at our sole discretion, we may consider further extensions.

Non-U.S. Preservation Requests

As a courtesy to non-U.S. law enforcement agencies, Parsafy may, at its discretion, preserve available Parsafy account records for up to one year while an MLAT or letters rogatory process is underway. We may further extend this preservation for an additional 180 days upon receipt of an extension request.

💡 Tip: Submit preservation requests as early as possible. Parsafy users can delete their content and accounts at any time, and Parsafy's data retention schedules may result in data being unavailable if preservation is not timely requested. Preservation requests do not require the same level of legal process as disclosure requests.

📬 User Notice Policy

Parsafy's policy is to notify users when we receive U.S. legal process seeking the disclosure of their records. Prior to responding to such legal process, and unless a law or court order specifies otherwise, we provide affected users with a period to challenge the legal process in court. We ask users to provide us with a court file-stamped copy of their challenge. Parsafy does not notify users when we receive preservation requests.

Exceptions to User Notice

There are two exceptions to our user notice policy:

  • Legal Process with Non-Disclosure Orders: We will not notify users when a court order under 18 U.S.C. § 2705(b) or other legal authority prohibits such notice. Non-disclosure orders must be duly authorized by a judge's signature and have a finite duration — indefinite non-disclosure orders are not recognized.
  • Exceptional Circumstances: We reserve the right to forgo user notice in cases where we, at our sole discretion, believe exceptional circumstances exist — including situations involving child exploitation, the sale of lethal drugs, or imminent threats of death or serious bodily injury.

Streamlining the Notice Process

To minimize delays associated with our user notice policy, law enforcement should consider the following when submitting legal process:

  • No-objection statement: Indicate in your submission if you have no objection to us notifying the affected user(s). This allows us to process your request more quickly.
  • Non-disclosure court order: If you provide a court order under 18 U.S.C. § 2705(b) prohibiting user notification, ensure it includes unique identifying information such as a case number or Parsafy username(s), and specifies an end date.
  • Case-specific sensitive circumstances: If your case involves child exploitation, the sale of lethal drugs, or imminent threats to life, provide sufficient factual basis for Parsafy to independently ascertain the circumstances.

🛡️ Abortion Services Protection

Parsafy AI Inc. is headquartered in California and operates in accordance with California state law. Parsafy does not respond to legal processes related to alleged violations of laws pertaining to the provision, facilitation, or obtaining of lawful abortion services in jurisdictions where such services are legal.

This policy reflects California law and Parsafy's commitment to protecting the privacy and safety of our users in connection with lawful healthcare decisions. Requests related to the above will not be processed and will not receive a response.

🗑️ Content & Account Takedown Orders

Lawfully issued and legally valid orders for the takedown of content or accounts on Parsafy can be submitted via email to:

[email protected]  ·  Subject line: Content/Account Takedown Order

Takedown orders must be submitted from an official government or law enforcement email domain and must be in a non-editable static format (PDF). Orders should clearly identify the specific content or account(s) to be taken down, the legal authority under which the order is issued, and include a signed judge's authorization where required.

⚖️ Testimony & Certificates of Authenticity

When Parsafy discloses records to U.S. law enforcement, those disclosures include a signed Certificate of Authenticity intended to satisfy the requirements of Federal Rule of Evidence 902(11) or equivalent state rules and to negate the need for a live Custodian of Records to testify.

If testimony is nevertheless required for records authentication during a trial, any testimonial subpoena must be properly domesticated and served in accordance with the Uniform Act to Secure the Attendance of a Witness from Without a State in Criminal Proceedings.

Parsafy may not be able to accommodate subpoenas for witness testimony served less than 21 days prior to when the testimony is required. We recommend providing a courtesy copy of the subpoena to [email protected] while you pursue domestication. Acceptance of a courtesy copy does not waive Parsafy's right to object on any applicable legal grounds.

💡 Note: Parsafy does not provide expert witness testimony. Parsafy does not provide testimony outside the United States.
